Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups glutinous rice flour
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 pieces banana leaves cleaned and softened

Instructions
 

  • Mix the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and coconut milk in a bowl until smooth.
  • Add vanilla extract to the mixture and stir well.
  • Prepare your banana leaves by cleaning and heating them slightly over a flame.
  • Place a scoop of the mixture onto each banana leaf.
  • Fold the leaves into small, flat rectangular shapes.
  • Steam the wrapped Binalay for about 20 minutes until firm.
  • Remove from the steamer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure your banana leaves are soft so they do not tear during folding.
