Ingredients

  • 2 oz Silver Tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 1.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 0.5 oz Sugar Syrup
  • 0.5 oz Olive Brine
  • Margarita Salt for rim
  • 2 Jalapeno Stuffed Olives
  • 1 Lime Wheel
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Glass

  • First, take a lime wedge and rub it. Wipe it around the rim of your glass. Dip the rim into a plate of salt. Set the glass aside to dry for a bit.

Fill the Shaker

  • Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with fresh ice. Cold ice is better than melting or soft ice. It prevents the drink from becoming too watery fast.

Add the Spirits

  • Pour the silver tequila into the cold shaker. Add the Cointreau to the mix as well. These two form the strong base of your drink.

Mix the Flavors

  • Pour in the fresh lime juice and syrup. Add the splash of olive brine for that saltiness. The brine is what makes it a martini style.

Shake It Up

  • Put the lid on the shaker very tightly. Shake it vigorously for at least twenty seconds. You want the shaker to feel very frosty.

Strain and Serve

  • Strain the liquid into your prepared salty glass. The liquid should look clear and very bright. Do not let any large ice chunks fall in.

Add the Garnish

  • Skewer two or three jalapeno olives on a pick. Drop them into the glass for a spicy finish. Add a lime wheel on the side too.

Notes

➔ Use high quality tequila for the best smooth taste.
➔ Always use fresh lime juice for a bright flavor.
➔ Chill your martini glass in the freezer before serving.
➔ Shake the drink very hard to create tiny bubbles.
➔ Taste the mix before pouring to check the sweetness.
➔ Double strain the drink to remove small ice bits.
➔ Use large ice cubes so they melt much slower.
➔ Rub the lime only on the outside glass rim.
