Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Tongs
  • Paper Towels
  • Measuring Cups
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb BOUDIN SAUSAGE
  • 2 cups FLAMIN HOT CHEETOS
  • 1 cup ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 2 large EGGS
  • 2 tbsp MILK
  • 1 tsp CAJUN SEASONING
  • 4 cups VEGETABLE OIL

Instructions

Step 1:

  • Get your favorite boudin sausage ready. Remove the outer skin carefully. Place the meat in a bowl.

Step 2:

  • Break the meat apart with a fork. Make sure it is crumbly. This makes rolling much easier.

Step 3:

  • Scoop out a small amount of meat. Roll it into a round ball. Make it about two inches wide.

Step 4:

  • Place the balls on a tray. Keep them in a single layer. Do not let them touch.

Step 5:

  • Put the Cheetos in a processor. Pulse them into fine dust. Put the dust in a bowl.

Step 6:

  • Fill another bowl with white flour. Add some Cajun spices to it. Mix the flour well.

Step 7:

  • Crack your eggs into a bowl. Add a little bit of milk. Whisk them until they combine.

Step 8:

  • Roll a ball in the flour. Shake off any extra powder. Ensure it is fully covered.

Step 9:

  • Dip the floured ball into egg. Let the extra egg drip off. This step is very messy.

Step 10:

  • Roll the ball in Cheeto dust. Press the crumbs into the meat. Make the coating very thick.

Step 11:

  • Heat your oil in the fryer. It should reach 350 degrees. Use a thermometer for this.

Step 12:

  • Drop the balls into the oil. Fry them for four minutes. They should be dark red.

Step 13:

  • Remove them with your metal tongs. Place them on the paper towels. Let them cool for a bit.
