Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 cup Warm Milk
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Table Salt
  • 1 Large Egg

Instructions

Activate the Yeast

  • Mix warm milk with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for ten minutes. It should look foamy and very bubbly.

Mix the Dough

  • Add the flour and salt to the bowl. Mix in the eggs and melted butter. Stir until a soft dough starts forming.

Knead the Dough

  • Put the dough on a floured surface. Push and fold it with your hands. Do this until it feels very smooth.

First Rise

  • Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover it with a warm damp towel. Let it double in size for one hour.

Shape the Rolls

  • Punch the air out of the dough. Cut it into small even pieces. Roll them into smooth and round balls.

Second Rise

  • Put the balls on your baking pan. Cover them again for thirty more minutes. They will get big and very puffy.

Bake the Rolls

  • Put them in a hot oven. Bake until the tops are golden brown. This usually takes about fifteen tasty minutes.

Brush with Butter

  • Take them out of the oven. Brush the tops with more melted butter. Let them cool down just a little bit.
